The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has denied reports making the rounds that the police have released Anthony Ikpeama, pictured above, who was earlier today arrested over the death of his pregnant wife, Adaeze Ikpeama. LIB had earlier shared the story of how Adaeze died after she was allegedly beaten to a coma by Anthony at their home in the Ajah area of Lagos state on Saturday April 10. Read here. 
There were reports online on Monday evening, April 12 claiming Anthony had been released from custody after presenting a medical report. LIB reached out to the police spokesperson and he denied the report, saying Mr. Ikpeama is still in custody at the Ajah police division.
