Governor Inuwa Yahaya witnesses a Special durbar as Emir of Gombe honours visiting healthcare development partners from USA
The Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III has hosted a special durbar in honour of the visiting team of Project C.U.R.E.from the United States of America.
The Project C.U.R.E. officials, led by Mr. Charles Irion and Travis Gibson are in Gombe at the instance of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to carry out a needs assessment of the state's health care facilities across the 11 local government areas to ascertain the equipment needed in the sector with a view to providing lightly used medical equipment that will help in addressing health challenges and improving the system.
To honour the visitors and show appreciation to them, the Emir of Gombe organized a befitting durbar at his palace.
The Special durbar, which was graced by the Governor of Gombe state, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and other top Government functionaries witnessed a spectacular royal parade of hundreds of men on horses, displaying colourful culture at its best to the admiration of the visitors.
